Our Doberman changed from a dog that was reluctant to be bathed to a dog that loves it. The transformation occurred when I took our daughter’s advice and smeared a spoonful of peanut butter on the shower wall so that the dog is occupied with licking that spot clean rather than thinking about being shampooed. This morning I was going to bathe the dog and she trotted into the shower on her own before I even got the peanut butter on the wall or had the water turned on! At this rate I’m expecting her to start leaving me Post-It notes saying “Is it bath day?”
