Welcome to the Doberman Pinscher Club of Indiana, Inc.

The Doberman Pinscher Club of Indiana, Inc. (DPCI), founded in 1936, is the oldest chapter club of the Doberman Pinscher Club of America (DPCA). The DPCI is a breed club, established to promote and preserve the Doberman Pinscher breed as described in the American Kennel Club breed standard.

DPCI Programs

Each February, the DPCI offers a Specialty Show, supporting both Conformation and Obedience, as part of the Indy Winter Classic dog shows. This show is held at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis.

The DPCI also offers educational programs and seminars throughout the year for the edification of breeders, competitors and pet owners. Past program topics have included dog training, pet nutrition, therapeutic massage, dog sports, problem behavior management, pet socialization, veterinary procedures, and more.

We also have group events for club members throughout the year, including an outdoor picnic (with the dogs!), a holiday party, and other gatherings.

Joining the DPCI

The DPCI meets the first Thursday of every month, September through May. To join, prospective members must attend two meetings and be voted in by the membership. To download a PDF of the DPCI's Constitution and By-Laws, please click here. (You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view this document.)
